No, Mr Shivam, Mayawati Should NOT Give Up Her PM Ambitions

In his latest article on ThePrint, Shivam Vij is saying Mayawati should give up her prime ministerial ambitions and her best place is a sutradhar (someone who strings together these disparate beads into a thread), and not the protagonist.

When will so-called upper castes stop acting like grandaddy? When will Shivam stop writing bullshit? Why do upper castes think that to bring opposition together is Mayawati’s job? Why doesn’t Shivam give such a suggestion to Rahul Gandhi or anyone else?

He is saying Mayawati should act as Sutradhar, someone who brings opposition together, as Harkishan Singh Surjeet did in 1989 or 2004. My question is who remembers Harkishan Singh Surjeet? Why can’t a Dalit woman aspire to be a PM? Why does it hurt upper castes if some woman who is Dalit becomes a PM? Mr. Shivam, are you suggesting Mr. Rahul Gandhi is ready for PM and Mayawati isn’t?

Shivam Vij further writes that OBC and upper castes won’t vote for Mayawati (because she is Dalit) – Mayawati as a PM candidate would be a disaster as it would force a consolidation of upper castes and OBCs in favour of the BJP – so rather than writing against the caste problem ‘poophead’ is trying to give a suggestion that Mayawati shouldn’t aspire to be a PM. I can understand the importance of king/queen-maker but why can’t a Dalit become PM and some else from so-called upper castes act king/queen-maker for Mayawati as PM?

Why would Mayawati as a PM candidate a disaster? Shivam around the end of his article states that across India, Mayawati is looked up to by Dalit voters even if they don’t vote for her party. Voting is often about winnability, and Dalit votes alone can’t win the BSP a seat.

If you agree voting is about winnability then Mayawati is the best option. With 25% Dalit population and only a few percents votes from other caste groups can easily make PM from the present opposition, if making PM from the present opposition is the question then Mayawati is the answer. You agree yourself that Dalits voters look upon her so projecting Mayawati as a PM is the best option for the opposition that would stop fragmentation of Dalit as well as minority votes. If the question is whether there is anyone with charisma to beat Modi and co., Mayawati is the answer. Moreover, BSP has been winning till now with Dalit votes only.

Mayawati has always conquered the odds and succeeded despite many challenges. She has passed various tests to reach the level she is. Tell us, oh Mr. Shivam, where in the history of the world has happened that someone from the discriminated communities (and that also a woman) has become head of the state without the bloodbath or killings? Such a magic can be done by BSP, Kanshi Ram, and Mayawati only. Facing caste and gender discrimination and establishing herself in the men dominated politics isn’t lesser feat than anything else. You can despise her, but you can’t ignore her.

Set aside your caste bias and misogyny. We know very well how you and your caste brethren talk about Mayawati’s caste, Mayawati’s look to how she talks to how she dresses up. If this is the standard how you decide country’s PM, then I pity your understanding.

Just because Mayawati is Dalit, she shouldn’t aspire to be a PM, that’s your logic, Mr Shivam? From where these so-called upper castes get ideas about writing on Dalits? Maybe their Janeu talks to them and they write those things on paper accordingly.

If anyone deserves to become a PM, it’s Mayawati, who has reached the position where is now through hard work and dedication. Some in politics are because of their family background, some because of ‘fools’, she is the only one because of hard work and dedication.

Mr Shivam wrote also that Mayawati was forced to smile at CM ceremony in Karnataka and she was happy with the importance she thinks she deserves on the national stage. He further says, in public display of affection carefully crafted for the cameras, Sonia Gandhi hugged Mayawati sideways.

How does Mr Shivam know affection was carefully crafted and she was happy with the importance she was getting? And stop suggesting and predicting what she deserves. STOP acting like ‘Jotshi’/fortune teller, Mr Shivam.

Shivam

Anyways, when will Mr Shivam stop blocking people? Before you start preaching others, learn to accept criticism. Not everyone criticises you positively but you can learn something out of every criticism. Well, anyways, so-called upper castes never learn anything.

In the end, Shivam suggests that Mayawati should serve the cause of opposition unity. (As if Dalits are made to serve, not to rule!) If she can bring opposition together then why can’t she be the PM candidate? Why there have to be two different persons? Mayawati is the best hope and option the for the opposition if they can set aside their caste prejudices no one can stop them from beating BJP. Only Bahujan politics can beat Hindutva politics. Mayawati is well known for strict law and order, which is the need of the hour in India, so Mayawati is the best option for India.

All these so-called upper castes want from Dalits is the help to replace one upper caste with another upper caste in the top position. We don’t accept such proposals and we don’t want to be ruled by you on any term.

Lastly, Mr. Shivam, Mayawati is not because of media as many PM were and is, she is there despite hostile Brahminical media! So, you can write whatever crap you want to write.

    Who is this Shivam ?
Mayawati can easily become the PM with the solid support of Dalits , Christians & Muslims. These minority communities do not have any aversion to Dalits. Educate , Organise & Agitate is the mantra today and 2019 elections will be on this unity card only.
Again CDE ( Confederation of Dalit Electors ) is the need of the hour.
