Welcome to Hindu Nation – “Jai Shri Ram” Slogans Raised in Parliament after Ram Nath Kovind Sworn In

It is nothing new that RSS/BJP is working on the plans to make India a Hindu Nation (Hindu Rashtra). Hindutva agenda of BJP/RSS is also not hidden from anyone. BJP/RSS government is playing well and installing puppets on the main positions so that these puppets can help them in their goal of turning India into the Hindu Nation.

On 25th July 2017, Ram Nath Kovind today took oath as India’s 14th President at a ceremony held in Parliament’s iconic Central Hall. Some BJP MPs shouted Jai Shri Ram after Ram Nath Kovind was sworn in.

President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted that – honoured to be sworn in as the 14th President of India; would be carrying out my responsibilities with all humility.

We are not sure what humility President was talking about? Was it humility towards Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)? During your sworn in ceremony ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans were raised in the Parliament and no action against those who raised such slogans in a democratic place.

Moreover, what is worrying that there is no reaction from the intellectuals of the society as if everyone has accepted already that the Hindu Nation is inevitable? What if some other religious slogans were raised? Would BJP/RSS have been happy or would society had accepted those also?

President Ram Nath Kovind has a history of working for and being a member of RSS so nothing much can be expected from him. BJP/RSS has used him to project that BJP/RSS are not anti-Dalit so as to get Dalit votes in 2019 election.

This is not the first time Jai Shri Ram slogans were raised inside Parliament.

In March this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with the same slogan by the BJP MPs when he walked into the House following the BJP’s victory in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly elections.President Kovind

Dalits can’t expect anything from President Kovind, he didn’t even mention K. R. Narayanan, 1st Dalit President of India, in his list of distinguished presidents.

We must stop India turning into a Hindu Nation (Hindu Rashtra). Follow what Dr Ambedkar had said,

“If Hindu Raj does become a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country No matter what the Hindus say. Hinduism is a menace to liberty, equality and fraternity. On that account, it is incompatible with democracy. Hindu Raj must be prevented at any cost.”
