Free Download Dr B R Ambedkar Books – Writings and Speeches In Various Languages!
We believe that these books are the best books in the world! Ok, label us biased but before you do that please read a few books written by Babasaheb Ambedkar. After that, we will be happy to take any criticism! 🙂
You must take the stand that Buddha took. You must take the stand which Guru Nanak took. You must not only discard the Shastras, you must deny their authority, as did Buddha and Nanak. You must have courage to tell the Hindus, that what is wrong with them is their religion— the religion which has produced in them this notion of the sacredness of Caste. Will you show that courage? – Babasaheb Ambedkar in Annihilation of Caste
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s writings are a testament to his intellectual brilliance and unwavering commitment to social justice. His books not only critique the deeply entrenched systems of caste and economic exploitation but also offer a vision for a more equitable and just society. Ambedkar’s literary legacy continues to inspire generations, providing the intellectual foundation for movements against caste discrimination and for human rights and equality.
Maybe after reading these books, we will show the courage that Babasaheb Ambedkar asked us to show. We also believe that if India follows what Babasaheb Ambedkar wrote and said in his speeches, India would be in a much better position. Until caste, which is the main problem in India and the root of all the evils in India, is not uprooted, no progress in GDP would matter or, as a matter of fact, reach the lowest rung of people in the society. We can not build a society without achieving social equality, as Dr Ambedkar said.
Hindu society as such does not exist. It is only a collection of castes. Each caste is conscious of its existence. Its survival is the be all and end all of its existence. – Babasaheb Ambedkar

Summary of a few of the books –
Annihilation of Caste
“Annihilation of Caste” is perhaps Ambedkar’s most famous and radical work. Originally written as a speech for the Jat-Pat Todak Mandal, a progressive Hindu reformist organization, the text was ultimately not delivered due to its critical stance against the caste system. In this book, Ambedkar argues for the complete abolition of caste, critiquing not only the practice but also the religious and social structures that perpetuate it. His call for the annihilation of caste remains a foundational text for anti-caste movements in India.
Key Themes
- Critique of Hindu Scriptures: Ambedkar challenges the authority of Hindu scriptures that legitimize the caste system.
- Call for Social Reform: He urges Hindus to reform their religion by rejecting caste-based discrimination.
The Problem of the Rupee: Its Origin and Its Solution
In “The Problem of the Rupee: Its Origin and Its Solution,” Ambedkar delves into the economic history of India, examining the causes of the rupee’s depreciation. This work, based on his doctoral thesis at the London School of Economics, showcases Ambedkar’s economic acumen and offers solutions for stabilizing the Indian currency. His analysis of British colonial policies and their impact on India’s economy highlights his broader concerns about economic justice.
Key Themes
- Critique of British Economic Policies: Ambedkar critiques the colonial economic policies that impoverished India.
- Monetary Reform: He proposes reforms for stabilizing the rupee and improving India’s financial system.
The Buddha and His Dhamma
“The Buddha and His Dhamma” is Ambedkar’s last and one of his most important works, published posthumously. In this book, he reinterprets the life and teachings of Buddha, presenting Buddhism as a rational, ethical, and socially transformative philosophy. Ambedkar’s reinterpretation of Buddhism served as the foundation for the Dalit Buddhist movement, which sought liberation from caste oppression through the adoption of Buddhism.
Key Themes
- Buddhism as a Social Revolution: Ambedkar presents Buddhism as a path to social equality and justice.
- Rational and Ethical Philosophy: He emphasizes the rational and ethical teachings of the Buddha, advocating for a society based on liberty, equality, and fraternity.
Who Were the Shudras?
In “Who Were the Shudras?” Ambedkar examines the historical origins of the Shudra caste, which was placed at the bottom of the Hindu social hierarchy. He challenges traditional narratives and argues that the Shudras were originally a warrior class that was degraded to a lower status due to social and political dynamics. This book is a critical analysis of the caste system and its historical development.
Key Themes
- Historical Analysis of Caste: Ambedkar traces the historical origins of the Shudras, offering a new perspective on caste.
- Critique of Brahmanical Supremacy: He challenges the supremacy of the Brahmanical order and its role in perpetuating caste hierarchies.
The Untouchables: Who Were They and Why They Became Untouchables?
“The Untouchables” is a continuation of Ambedkar’s exploration of caste dynamics. In this work, he investigates the origins of untouchability, arguing that untouchables were originally Buddhists who were ostracized and subjected to severe discrimination for refusing to conform to Brahmanical norms. This book provides a historical and sociological analysis of the plight of untouchables and their continued marginalization.
Key Themes
- Origins of Untouchability: Ambedkar explores the historical reasons for the emergence of untouchability.
- Resistance to Brahmanical Authority: He highlights the role of untouchables as a group that resisted Brahmanical domination.

How to download books of Baba Saheb ? meantime I am interested to download Riddles in Hinduism in Hindi version. Tell me , how can I download ?
Greetings…
For my Ph.D. purpose I went to Mumbai from New Delhi few years ago. I consulted Siddharth College Library. The unique feature of the library was that till date it has preserved the rare collection of books Babasaheb used to read. But being a non-Marathi person I found difficulties in reading the papers and journals like Mooknayak and Bahishkrit Bharat as they were in Marathi language. My humble request is regarding their translation in either Hindi or in English so that these pieces of literary worth should reach to larger people.
my father keep all these books but I live far from him and I can’t read them ,ppl around my home used to borrow them from my father they read them and return them . I like this initiative too . Thank you and keep going .
