The Never-ending Greed of the brahmin savarnas!

Author – Thaiyaan

LinkedIn is a really weird place these days, though the actual aim of the platform is to develop the profession network & facilitate professional development, as usual, the casteist brahmin savarnas had been dumping their ‘meritorious’ takes on every topic available on the earth.

Recently I came across this following post by a Chubey, a brahmin.

This post is a typical example of brahmin merit, you might see this as a personal attack, let me explain and here when I say brahmin, it refers not to the individuals, it’s the brahmins as a class(brahmin ruling class), you can find details about this later part of this article.

First, he raises the discrepancy in the fees structure for Oppressed Castes Category Students and immediately connected that with ‘merit’ argument, citing the cut off of IIT JEE 2020 marks, which is a result of the social backwardness caused by generations and generations of exclusion model adopted by the brahmin ruling class, it’s kind of mocking, a typical strategy brahmin savarnas and to discriminate and othering the students who’ve availed the affirmative action.

If you check the recent Caste Discrimination lawsuit filed by California DFEH proves that the 2 brahmins Sridhar Iyer and Kompella were using this exact ‘merit’ ranking to discriminate the victim.

Many brahmins, in fact just adopt this exact same playbook, connecting the affirmative action provided for “SOCIAL and EDUCATIONAL” backwardness caused by the brahmanical exclusion of basic things like education, land and water, for the oppressed(SC/ST’s) & marginalized castes(OBC’s) with Economic support. This connecting affirmative action with an economic condition itself shows their pretty twisted mind, where the brahmin savarnas view everything from the materialistic perspective. The affirmative action is for REPRESENTATION, but the ‘meritorious’ brahmin savarnas never accepted that simple fact, it’s one of the many parts to de-hegemonize the brahmin savarnas from ruling class so that it would be equitable to all, a true democracy.

Now let me share Dr. Ambedkar’s explanation for the need for affirmative action(aka reservation)

Unfortunately, the history of the struggle of the servile classes in India against the governing class has not yet been written.

But those who know anything about it will know that the governing class in India has no intention of making any sacrifice not even on the altar of Indian Freedom for which it is thirsting.

Instead, the governing class is using every means to retain them.

For this, it is using two weapons. First is the weapon of nationalism.

Whenever the servile classes ask for reservations in the legislatures, in the Executive and in Public Services, the governing class raises the cry of ‘nationalism in danger’.

What are these reservations for?

To put it briefly they are intended to provide floorings below which the governing class will not be able to push down the servile classes in their struggle for existence.

There, is nothing sinister and nothing wrong in this demand for reservations.

How does the governing class react to them?

It loses no occasion to deprecate them and to ridicule them.

People are led to believe that if they are to achieve national freedom, they must maintain unity, that all questions regarding reservations in the Legislatures, Executives and the Public Services are inimical to national unity and that, therefore, for anyone interested in national freedom it is a sin to support-those who ask for such reservation?.

“That is the attitude of the governing class in India. It stands in glaring contrast with that of the governing class in Japan. It is a misuse of nationalism.

But the governing class does not feel any compunction for such misuse.

The second means employed by the governing class is the writing of the lampoons and parodies calculated to pour ridicule on the demand for reservations.”

– What Congress and Gandhi Have done to the Untouchables? Pg 203

Now let’s see who is that Governing class in India, look at the number of positions held by the brahmins, who are less than 5% of the Indian population and hold 9 minister positions. If you look at the whole number, the brahmin savarnas who are just 15% population have got 13 minister positions.

13 brahmin savarnas ministers out of 23 ministries and look at the number of brahmin judges in the Supreme court, FYI the judiciary doesn’t have affirmative action and it’s a den of caste nepotism and all these brahmins like Chaubey never see this over-representation as a problem or un-meritorious.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. If you look at the other important powers related to the economy of the country and media (98%) are occupied by the brahmin savarnas.

The so-called progressive, ‘secular’, brahmin savarnas don’t even recognize that their caste, an enclosed class, is the ruling class and overly represented in every space, but they usually talk about the existing discriminative practices never about the hegemony of brahmins as a ruling class.

Judges of the Supreme Court of India. George H. Gadbois, Oxford University Press 2011

As Kuffir, one of the founder of RoundtableIndia.co.in, puts across well

“If privilege is interpreted as ‘unearned advantage’, it tells you only half the story. The untold part is, this unearned advantage was gained through expropriating concrete assets from those who ‘lack privilege’. That the underprivileged paid for the unearned advantage.”

The brahmin ruling class conveniently hide the truth of how the brahmin’s exclusion model deprived the oppressed castes. Report on Economic Times

“out of 477 joint secretaries, 31 belong to SC, that is, 6.5% and 15 belong to ST that is 3.1%. And out of 590 directors, 17 belong to SC (2.9%) while seven belong to ST (1.2%)”

According to this survey the of private corporate boards the brahmin savarna castes holds 8,387 92.6% of posts Of which

(a) Brahmin 4,037 – 44.6 %

(b) Vaishya 4,167 – 46.0 %

(c) Kshatriya 43  – 0.5 %

(c) Others# 137  – 1.5 %

Other Backward Class 346 – 3.8 %
SC/ST’s 319  – 3.5 %

The above 3 pointers prove that the brahmin savarnas who are less than 15% of the Indian population hold hegemony in the legislature, judiciary and capitalist class.

Now let’s look at the next issue brahmin Chaubey is highlighting, let’s see how much actually the Government is spending for Dalits in terms of reduced fees and scholarships. The Hindu article reports in detail how much actual subsidy the brahmin savarnas is getting. When you compare with bhahujans (85% of the population), it’s nothing.

And there are many studies out there showing the income gap and wealth gap between brahmins and other marginalized castes, all those wealth were made of basically exploiting the bhahujans, who lack political and social power.

In India, the top 1% holds 51.53% and the top 10% holds 77.4% of the total wealth respectively. Brahmins and non-Brahmin forward castes earn 48% and 45% ABOVE the national average respectively whereas OBC, SC and ST households earn 8%, 21% and 35% BELOW the national average respectively. Report by Business Standard

All these financial support are currently being taken away by the same brahmin ruling class.

Now I just wanted to show how much historically the brahmins were receiving financial support from State

From RoundtableIndia.co.in article “The Cost of a Poor brahmin”

In 1758, during Peshwa Bajirao, the amount peaked as high as rupees eighteen lakhs. Kumar observes that, at times, more than 60,000 brahmins received the fellowship in a year. In 1770 as many as 40,000 appeared for the exam from brahmin centres in north and south. It needs to be emphasized that brahmins, as a nation, as an imagined community that speaks a common language (Sanskrit)”

The Agra University Calendar of 1945-46 has an interesting section on hostels. Out of the five recognized hostels, four were managed and inhabited by upper-caste Hindus. In fact, they were named after individual jaatis – Kayastha, Chaubey, Bhargava, and Vaish. … Thus, jaati-based hostels were not simply endorsed but also economically subsidized by Universities and Governments.”

So basically the one caste which had taken full advantage of the State resources is brahmins, but currently, the brahmins like Chaubey are ignorant about all the history and basically promoting this BS without any shame or guilt. In fact, you can see the same mindset with many of these brahmin savarnas who were well “educated” holds powerful positions in the corporates talk without any bit of sense at all.

And the same brahmins like Chaubey, never acknowledge another fact, the so-called premier institutes which are full of brahmin savarnas IITs, IIMs, NITs have just 3% of total students but get 50% of government funds.

“26.96% of the total — has gone to the IITs, which have just 1.18% of the students; 17.99% has gone to NITs, where 1.37% of the students study; 3.35 % has gone to the IIMs, which have 0.12% of the students and 2.28 % of the budget has gone to the IIITs, where 0.05% students study.

The remaining 48.9% of the higher education funds have gone to the 865 institutions, which have 97.4% of the country’s students.”

No brahmin savarnas who are barking about the reservation and scholarships offered for bhahujans would never utter even a word about these inequity propagated by the brahmin ruling class intentionally depriving the education funds.

Finally, I wanted to state a fact, the brahmins like Chaubey are spreading this hatred and ridiculing comments about the reservation(affirmative action) currently, his ancestors were the first one who availed it under British rule.

They are an army of third classes “156 years ago, upper-caste parents fought a brilliant battle and won Third Class for their brilliant kids. Only 92 years ago, upper-caste students were an army of Third Classers. … prayed the British administrators to bring down the minimum pass percentage to 16.8 per cent”  – Why discuss Aarakshan with an immoral upper class?

Now, these above pointers are basically to explain this crookedness of the brahmins as a class who would go on to create any narrative and invent victimhood out of concoction, lies and wild imagination like their Sanskrit Vedas and Puranas. I would like to state this quote from Dr. Ambedkar which describes their honesty

“For no intellectual class has prostituted its intelligence for the sole purpose of inventing a philosophy to keep his uneducated countrymen in a perpetual state of servility, ignorance and poverty as the Brahmins have done in India. Every Brahmin to-day believes in this philosophy of Brahmanism propounded by his forefathers. He is an alien element in the Hindu Society.”

~ Dr. Ambedkar, What Congress and Gandhi Have done to the Untouchables?

It’s a shame that unfortunately this continues even today and the brahmins, like Chaubey, who are well “educated” are still continuing to register their morally bankrupt take with so much intellectual dishonesty.
