Humble Tribute To A True Ambedkarite Soldier Professor Malke
On Sunday afternoon just after enjoying our Sunday feast when I was talking with family members, We got a call with the news that Malke sir left the world. Suddenly the environment in the room changed. Many people from Bramhapuri not wasting a single minute started for Nagpur where the death happened.
Professor Malke was a man with a golden heart, who built himself with at-most handwork given the economic conditions of his family. And was also socially committed to the Ambedkarite movement and people. He was chief of his area’s Samta Sainik Dal cadre and the latter was also Platoon leader and Commander in the Dal.
He worked in the Government Polytechnic college of Maharashtra- first, he used to teach in Government Polytechnic College of Bramhapuri and latter became the HOD of Physics Dept of the Government Polytechnic College Nagpur. His days as a teacher was completely inspiring- he used to help various students economically and also counsel their parents for their conduct towards their children. His plans after retirement were to teach and guide the poor students and start a community reading room and training center at his home.
“Professor Malke was a man of social conscience”- This is how Professor Siddharth Meshram, Historian and writer described him. And I’ve myself seen this thing about him. He was one of the most social people I’ve come across, Irrespective of his health condition where his legs would not support him much he would visit and be seen in every social gathering of the Ambedkarite movement in Nagpur.
He was very emotional and he loved the Samata Sainik Dal like anything, he constantly enquired about the health conditions of the Samata Sainik Dal Chief Vimal Dada Chimankar.
He showed brotherhood with all his Ambedkarite folks- even if a person is a stranger to him, all the person needed to do was to say “Jaibheem” and Professor Malke would help the person with anything in his capacity.
The Ambedkarite community of Bramhapuri and Nagpur has certainly lost an asset.
Humble Tribute.
