Understanding Nazism in India – Pattern of Brahmanical Nationalism
On 14 August, a day before Independence day, a court in Rajasthan acquited all the murderers of Pehlu Khan, who was lynched by a mob a few years ago. Despite having a video proof, the court said it can’t accept video as proof!
The judgement on Pehlu Khan‘s case reminds on the eve of Independence Day that such independence is fake and Dalits and minority communities in India can never expect justice from Brahminical courts. Despite video proof, how can court acquit all the murderers?
When Rajasthan High Court has a statue of Manu on its premises, you’re naive to expect justice from any Brahminical courts. They worship Manu and utter judgments based on Manusmriti to fulfil “collective conscience of society” (remember hanging of Afzal Guru?).
The court while declaring the death sentence to Afzal Guru had said, “The incident, which resulted in heavy casualties, had shaken the entire nation, and the collective conscience of society will only be satisfied if capital punishment is awarded to the offender.”
So, who killed Pehlu Khan? No one killed Pehlu Khan according to court! Brahminical nationalism killed him. In a society where the definition of ‘collective conscience’ is set by Brahminical forces to fulfil Hindu Rashtra agenda, Pehlu Khan and many others would be killed without any fear of consequences.
If we go by the acquittal in the court in the case of mob lynching of Khan, the killing that rocked India and was filmed, one can say that the minorities have no access to justice. Ravidas temple was demolished without the consent of the communities. The temple was said to be 600 years old. The court asked the Ravidasi community to shut up else face the contempt of the court.
“Brahmanical supremacy is complete now and is on an aggressive path to remove anyone who dissents or differ with them,” says Vidya Bhushan Rawat, a social activist.
Compare it with undue importance the construction of Ram Mandir is getting. The BCs are told that there is no scope for Socio-Economic Caste Census and that they will remain amorphous and away from the government apparatus. The Kashmiris and their leaders are locked even today.
What are the traits common in the disparate events?
The minorities, Scheduled Castes, the Backward classes are nobodies. They have been reduced to the marginal positions. The federal structure that built and made us a vast country is now systematically destroyed. There is a clear cut polarisation of power in the hands of a few and the majority is left to feast on media-generated fast food.
Justice must not also to be done, but it also must be demonstrated how it is done. If people do not believe in the justice system that is the undoing of our country. India is built on the principle and premise that there will be justice for all. If that is not the case, we betray our nationhood and in doing so we betray the greater community.
The signs of Nazism/fascism are displayed in the open daylight now.
