Go Back Modi – What Does The Twitter Storm Indicate?

Modi was greeted with black flags in his last visit to Tamil Nadu and this time #GoBackModi is trending ahead. Modi represents what can go wrong with Indian nation and Indian democracy. We have to accept the fact that India is a nation of diversity. Any attempt to impose one ideology on the people is going to misfire. The nation was built on the proposition that people will be united in one Indian conscious: fiction though it is, this was the way forward for the newly born country.

If people decide to stay together, they cannot stay together on the basis of injustice and inequality: all the ideologies, religions, and philosophies must be destroyed that do not let the constitutional vision come into reality.

Modi has failed the country on many counts, but one of the greatest threats he fueled is internal divisions. The constitution built in measures to include all: Modi’s exclusionary policies created further features. He destroyed the protection to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled tribes, he is destroying the reservation policy meant for inclusion of all in the institutions. He singled out the largest minority, the Muslims, in India.

Thanks to history and legacy of the social movements throughout India: the Indians have been resisting the Modi regime, the manifestation of the RSS will to sabotage this country with the imposition of Brahmanism. South is showing the way for India to resist the forces against the idea of just and diverse India. Modi must go back, if India is to achieve its constitutional goal.
