Why We Oppose Lateral Entry Into Civil Services – It Undermines Reservation Policy

A recently published advertisement by Department of Personnel and Training of Government of India has introduced lateral recruitment to civil services positions. With this in the government of India bypassed and ignored the screening through constitutional bodies such as UPSC.

Lateral entry into civil services undermines reservation policy as the government will appoint its ‘bootlickers’ only under this policy. It would also increase the influence of those who are powerful on government policies. It is an attempt by BJP to fill important posts with the people affiliated to the RSS. The biggest problem with the lateral entry system is lack of transparency, honesty and political interference in the selection process.

Lateral Entry to IAS

The lateral-entry openings, widely advertised in newspapers on Sunday, will bypass the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination system, which reserves 15% seats for the Scheduled Caste, 7.5% for the Scheduled Tribe and 27% for the Other Backward Castes in the Indian Administrative Services (IAS).

These attempts by BJP-RSS government are the further attack to the constitution of India and attempts to make policies of reservation ineffective. After diluting SC/ST Act, BJP is showing its anti-Dalit colors once again. It is an unconstitutional move that violates rights of representation and perpetuating discrimination.

The decision to open senior bureaucratic posts to professionals who had not cleared the UPSC examination clearly showed the Modi government’s administrative failure, said Bahujan Samaj Party chief Behan Mayawati.

The recently published advertisement is looking for 10 outstanding individuals for 10 different ministries under the Government of India. There is no mention of reservation in the advertisement.

Though it is still be seen which 10 individuals are selected but chances are they will be government’s bootlickers as we have seen with BJP awarding its puppets with awards and important positions. If these 10 posts were to be filled through UPSC, at least 5 out of them would certainly have been from SC/ST and OBCs but with this lateral entry scheme by corrupt BJP government has taken away that chance from SC/ST/OBCs.

If this policy of lateral entry isn’t opposed, these Brahminical parties will take over India and fill all important positions with sick minded Manuwadi people in coming days. It is the responsibility of all those who believe in equality, justice and freedom must come forward and oppose government’s conspiracy to deprive SC/ST/OBCs of their rights.

Be sure chacha and bhatijas, mamas and bhanja, Nirav and Mehulbhai to enhance the performances and achievements of the government and contributing to the nation will be allowed entry in the kitchen.

The likes of Urjit l will enamor the authorities for entry to head institutions and contribute solidly. Remember the Trojan horses who entered and then extensively damaged the city of Troy.

Manu being their constitution, be sure, Hindu Rashtra does not believe in reservation framed by Dr B R Ambedkar.
