The RSS/BJP Government in UP is bullish on pushing Deendayal Upadhyay, the founder of the party organization for the RSS. His birth anniversary was celebrated with much pomp by the Union government and his writings were put up on the MEA website. DDU’s casteist philosophy where he tried to mask it with his nicely named ”ïntegral humanism” philosophy.

One can understand the RSS/BJP fascination with DDU, but one cannot understand why it is trying to replace the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar with the statue of DDU in Agra. The RSS/BJP government claims that there are two statues of Babasaheb Ambedkar in Agra Municipal Corporation and it wants to replace one of them with DDU’s.

We do not know the significance of DDU to the nation, but Babasaheb Ambedkar is much bigger a personality and even to think of replacing his statue even if there are millions of them in premises with that of DDU is an ugly move of the RSS/BJP.

It shows that the RSS/BJP has no respect for Babasaheb Ambedkar and it only pays lip service to his life and mission for the sake of getting votes.

UP Govt. has ordered for replacement of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s statue with that of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, which is clearly depictive of the hatred that BJP has towards Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, writes Dontha Prashanth.

It is a systematic plan of BJP to sideline the legacy of Babasaheb Ambedkar and attack on Dalit heroes. Since coming to power, BJP in Center as well as in various states has been carrying of anti-Dalit, anti-minority, agenda. These acts are to insult and hurt the sentiments of Dalits who look upon Babasaheb Ambedkar no less than a messiah.

Such acts will create a more social gap and will not be tolerated by the Dalit-Bahujan community and we will fight for our rights and take our fight to roads if would be needed. ‘
