Dysfunctional Government of RSS/BJP

The crack in the ranks of the RSS was exposed widely with the standoff between Togadiya and Modi over the rivalry that has seen many decades. Besides these personal cracks in the ranks, the cracks between various organs of the RSS are also increasingly evident and it appears that the RSS will have to keep balance between maintaining the interests of its various organisations and overall march towards keeping the hegemony of the Brahmins and Banias.

It is also becoming visible that the Government of the day is run by a coterie of a few politicians, corporate magnets, influential members drawn from RSS-family, and secret services. This coterie is limited and influences the decision making of the entire machinery of the government. This powerful circle is shifting Indian polity towards a more draconian regime that is modeled on the fascist lines.

The overall support to the Budget 2018 is lacking among the various bodies of the government. Thanks to the external factors like falling oil prices and stability in the global market, Indian economy survived, but the overall policy to boost Indian economy is missing and the government resorted to something that should not have done. And these areas have raised a lot of questions even among the individuals within the structure of the Government. Two members of Economic Advisory Committee to the PM (EAC-PM) have dissented over the policies and various aspects of the budget. The Vice President of Niti Ayog also admitted that Make in India is not successful and therefore the import tariff is heightened so as to promote local manufacturing.

The dissent among the ranks of the members in the governing bodies over the Budgetary policies is a serious signal for the citizens. Barring a few in the RSS/BJP government, most of the ministers have had no experiences and vision to run the ministries, most of them were not even qualified to run the various departments. So Indians got a deal that was dangerous for the survival of the country itself. If the global trends and oil prices have not helped Indian economy, we would have been grappling with the big calamity on the human scale. Perhaps, the RSS/BJP government soon learn that they cannot press for the wellbeing of just the handful of people: Brahmins and Banias.
