Behan Mayawati was right when she was speaking in her speeches that after coming to power BJP government will end reservation for SC/ST/OBCs. Yogi Adityanath led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh announced that reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Castes (OBC) in UP private medical colleges will be ended in the state.

BJP’s anti-Dalit-Bahujan stand became clear once again with its anti-reservation approach.

According to the reports from Sabrangindia, the Yogi Adityanath government, in a major policy reversal, has passed an order doing away with the quota for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in admission to post-graduate courses in private medical colleges.

It was the Mulayam Singh Yadav’s government that in 2006 had introduced the policy of providing quota for SC/ST and OBC students in admission for graduate and post-graduate courses in both government and private medical colleges.

It also may be recalled that on more than occasion, the RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat has spoken against reservations for SCs/STs and OBCs and now with this move BJP/RSS is clear that they have big plans to end reservation for SC/ST/OBCs and deprive them of the equal opportunities.

There is huge anger among the SC/ST/OBC community after this move by BJP/RSS led government in UP. Here are a few comments from the various users on social media –

Before stopping reservation, the government should complete the equitable distribution of cultivable land in this country which THEY got under 100 percent reservation scheme centuries back.

No reservation for SC/ST in private medical colleges means 100% reservation for RICH and UPPER CASTES!

An uneducated son of Brahmin can get admission anywhere with the power of money but why not give equal opportunities to everyone?

The reservation has been given as social representation but not as economic representation. It has given SC ST & OBC a way to uplift themselves and come out of caste system to some extent. Yogi and BJP led government doesn’t want caste discrimination and caste system end hence such moves.

Reservation if for equality and it is a constitutional right. BJP government is playing with the constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

If caste discrimination is based on castes then why not reservation based on caste? Caste matters in India at all levels. It’s shameful that BJP is taking away equal opportunities that constitution provides.

Let me tell you the facts now- if seriously think of and read of Indians caste history, then you will know that the people who considered as superior castes in Indian have got all the benefits and economic profits through their castes. If a Brahman could born into his caste, even though he was an idiot not loyal unfit ineligible, he would get opportunity only because of his caste. This is the benefit was given him by Hindu religious social codes for minimum 2000 years and still continues. Suppose, Shudra (OBC SC ST) who would unprivileged from the entire human rights (no right to have education property and having weapons) because for socially he is a shudra. That’s why, in India, after the constitution has been written, the majority of Shudra communities are given representation in having property, education, job etc. So don’t follow Brahminical thoughts and keep your biased mind away. Think of your past history and come to the logical conclusion.

The agenda of the BJP government is not “holistic development” but “holy development” of cows and upper castes.

Reservation is not something that is given as mercy but is a constitutional right” of a section of people of the country.

Before abolition, it’s the duty of the government to prove with substantial evidence that everyone in the country is treated equally.

But has that happened? Do you see equality?

It is shameful that BJP/RSS is playing with the constitution and have ended representation in private medical colleges. All those who believe in equality must come forward and protest against this move by Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh.
