Dappu Prakash, of Dalita Kala Mandali, known for his Dalit songs with the musical instrument Dappu, has been diagnosed with cancer and is in urgent need of our help to pay for his treatment.

He was a close friend of the great poet and writer Kalekuri Prasad and continues to sing many of the songs written by him.

We kindly appeal to you to contribute whatever you can, for his cancer treatment. He has been an invaluable cultural contributor in furthering Babasaheb Ambedkar’s revolution to annihilate caste, through his singing and the Dappu.

He needed rupees 30,000 for his surgery, which was already delayed as he couldn’t arrange the money. We kindly request you again to contribute whatever possible within your means.
