8th June (1927) in Dalit History – Dr. Ambedkar received Doctor of Philosophy degree
On 8th June 1927, the Doctor of Philosophy degree was conferred on Dr. Ambedkar by the Columbia University, on his thesis ‘The Evolution of Provinicial Finance in British India.’
